Ann Arbor, Michigan (PRWEB) June 27, 2012
At a time when sixty percent of the mortgage companies in the U.S. have closed their doors, one of the countrys leading mortgage companies has outgrown its headquarters and is adding a second larger facility.
Dan Milstein, founder and CEO of the Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group (http://www.GoldStarFinancial.com), announced this week that it plans to double its headquarters staff and has already begun moving their sales staff from their present location on Packard Road into a larger facility at Avis Farms in Ann Arbor.
Gold Star is one of the fastest growing companies in the United States and is listed on the Inc. 500 The Company is a full-mortgage business that closes more than $ 1.5 billion in loans per year.
Milstein attributes the companys growth to the national expansion of the firm into multiple states by having boutique stores to better serve home buyers on alevel. We will continue to capture more market share and to expand because of our highly-motivated and satisfied employees, says Milstein. Gold Star now has over 500 employees in 48 offices across the USA and has been named a Top Workplace in Michigan for three years by the Detroit Free Press.
Because more than sixty percent of our competition nationally has shut down, we see a need to serve consumers in those markets, especially in the areas hit hard economically, says Milstein.
Theheadquarters building on Packard Road has become the for their operations department, where the majority of the sales positions have moved into the new location. The 165 employees working in Ann Arbor are expected to reach 240 by the end of the year.
Milstein is interested in finding a very large building that can accommodate Gold Stars growth plans over the next few years.
We are on track to reach our goal of creating 300 new jobs by the end of 2013, says Rick Richter, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Gold Star, and senior executive in charge of the new facility and the overall national Growth Plan. We have already filled over 80 positions, 35 of which are new college graduates participating in our two-year management program. Were adding employees in sales, underwriting, quality, compliance, licensing and mortgage application processing.
The quality of the graduates from Washtenaw County is excellent, said Richter, we are attracting some real go getters and top graduates from EMU, University of Michigan, and Cleary University. Whats the attraction? Richter says Gold Star has a high-energy, fun and productive collegiate atmosphere. We strive to stay away from the stereotypical corporate American work environment by allowing staff to bring their pets to the, we have a gym in the new building and while we work hard, we play too. Not only do we have CNBC on our big flat screen TVs, we have ESPN on the flat screen next to it. We believe in a strong family life and want everyone to balance work, family and home life. Were a top workplace for a reason, concluded Richter.
One of the big attractions for new grads is our management development program for people with no mortgage experience, but who are self motivated. Some of our new additions are on track to make well into six figures in 2012. Not bad for a new graduate, adds Richter. Weve also hired a few people from other mortgage companies who are able to nearly double their incomes and work less hours, says Richter, The math on that is simple!
